August 25, 2025 – The Connect Everyone Coalition (CEC) applauds President Trump’s recent Executive Order, Enabling Competition in the Commercial Space Industry, for its efforts to modernize outdated, burdensome launch regulations and usher in innovative space-based capabilities, industries and services.  

“Modernizing outdated space policy will help the U.S. take full advantage of 21^st-century space technologies, including low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites that have the potential to help deliver reliable, affordable, high-speed internet to the 24 million unserved and underserved Americans,” said CEC Executive Director Richard Cullen. “We look forward to quick implementation of the executive order and urge regulators to continue working to modernize space policies to unleash the full potential of innovative technologies and change Americans’ lives for the better.”
