
End Of Year Member Highlight
This year, 114 members joined CEC and our mission to connect everyone, everywhere. As 2025 comes to an end, we wanted to take a moment to highlight just some of the good work our members have accomplished across their industries:

Connected Nation
- With a mission to close the digital divide, Connected Nation recently published their BEAD tracker, which currently includes 54 final proposals to fund broadband access. Read more about it here.

National Business League
- Celebrating its 125th anniversary, the National Business League hosted a conference connecting global business, politics and culture to commemorate the milestone year. This conference signified the organization’s commitment to continuing the legacy of Black entrepreneurship and economic empowerment.

National ACE
- This year, National ACE hosted a conference bringing together more than 700 innovators and stakeholders in New York City to explore digital opportunities and economic leadership for entrepreneurs, business leaders and policymakers. The organization continues to support and promote issues that impact the small business community and improve the economic development of the Asian American Pacific Islander community.

SDV-MPG
- In August 2025, Service Disabled Veteran Medical Products Group (SDV-MPG) posted a series of blog posts about the value of service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses (SDVOSBs), addressing large businesses, Congress and the general public. This organization continues to support the advancement of veteran’s healthcare and provide business opportunities for SDVOSBs.

Arizona Regional Economic Development Foundation
- This year, the Arizona Regional Economic Development Foundation launched its new innovation center, the Community Innovation Center. The center acts as a resource for innovation, collaboration and entrepreneurship to support small businesses.

Friday Institute
- NC State University’s Friday Institute celebrated 20 years of innovation in education this year. In the last five years alone, the institute has engaged with educators, students, school districts and schools spanning all 100 counties in North Carolina and all 50 U.S. states, along with 160 countries.

Inspiredu
- Inspiredu hosted its first digital summit. The 2025 Digital Summit gathered community leaders, partners and learners to expand digital opportunities through innovation, teamwork and the shared mission of empowering learners to succeed in a digital world.

James Madison Institute
- James Madison Institute (JMI) recently released its 2025 Journal, highlighting policy areas and articles from Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Commissioner Olivia Britt Trusty, Florida state representatives and others. In the 2025 publication, JMI also included a piece by International Center for Law & Economics’ Director of Innovation Policy Kristian Stout that demonstrates how modernizing space policy will accelerate economic growth and innovation in the commercial space sector. Virginia Chamber of Commerce
- The Virginia Chamber of Commerce released their Blueprint Virginia 2035, a 10-year planning document that serves to foster long-term economic growth and resiliency among Virginia businesses. This report echoes support for a tech neutral approach to bridging the digital divide across Virginia in unserved and underserved areas, with emphasis on expanded access to broadband, strengthened digital and physical infrastructure and increased cybersecurity.
