Join the Connect Everyone Coalition (CEC) for a discussion exploring how low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites can help level the education playing field by enabling high-speed, reliable broadband access to schools and students everywhere, even in the most rural and remote communities and regions that, due to the digital divide, have been left without access to 21st-century education resources and opportunities.

Hear from experts on the impact of the digital divide in their fields, the importance of high-speed internet access at school and at home for students, the opportunity of LEO technology to quickly and affordably connect underserved students and families and the incredible ripple effect of connected education throughout communities and the lifetime of a student.

The event is open to all interested parties. Attendees will have the opportunity to gather expert perspectives on the evolving education landscape and the critical impact of expanded broadband in student learning, share the space with leaders from government and industry organizations and gain new insight to inform ongoing education and advocacy.

Discussion topics will include…

  • The proven disadvantages that students face when they lack high-speed internet access at home.
  • The economic and/or geographic obstacles that prevent too many households and schools in lower-income, rural or remote communities from obtaining fast, reliable broadband access.
  • The promise of LEO satellites to unleash wider connectivity for K-12 students.
  • The positive educational and economic ripple effects of narrowing the digital divide in K-12, including impacts on higher education and the future workforce.

By incorporating exciting new technologies, like LEO satellite broadband, into our connectivity toolboxes, we can bridge the digital divide and ensure all schools, all families, all students have access to the life-changing impacts of reliable, high-speed broadband.

The event will open to the press, and we plan to promote the event across social media channels.

Join the Connect Everyone Coalition for a discussion exploring how LEO satellites can revolutionize broadband adoption for education by delivering high-speed, reliable broadband to everyone, everywhere, connecting even the most remote and rural communities that have been previously underserved or unserved by other connectivity options.

These leaders are united around the important role that LEO technology will play in the comprehensive approach that is necessary to achieve universal, affordable broadband access, foster innovation and support a competitive and dynamic broadband marketplace for consumers.
